LICENSE 2 DRAW is an art project that allows app users to remotely control a L2D robot from ten of thousands of kilometers away via Iphone, Ipad with an app of the same name. This exciting crowdsourcing robotic drawing project was debuted on August 1st in Japan (Koganecho Bazaar) in 2014. It went on to received the Jury Ward of the prestigious 18th Japan Media Art Festival. LICENSE 2 DRAW was exhibited at Queenland Art Museum in 2015-16, the FACTORY Contemporary Art Center (Ho Chi Minh city), Heritage Space (Hanoi) and now at Singapore Art Museum for the first time from May 6 to Aug 27.
After downloading the App LICENSE 2 DRAW, one can remotely move a L2D robot equipped with 4 pens which located thousands of kilometers away from where one is at a touch of a button. From the opening in April 1st at FCAC, one can also shoot laser beams and burn marks on drawings from their devices.
While drawing, to see REAL TIME video of the L2D robot movement, one can connect via SKYPE to LICENSE2DRAW. One will be connected automatically 24/7. Live stream video feed of License2DRAW robot at SINGAPORE ART MUSEUM will appear on their Skype screen. In the next 4 months, starting May 6th, 2017, one can draw anytime from ANYWHERE in the world at Singapore Art Museum.
